The motifs of the four guardian deities of the four directions - the blue dragon, white tiger, red sparrow and genbu - are decorated on the helmet and stand, creating an auspicious tailoring suitable for celebrations.
The heroic helmet with ornamental metal fittings of the Four Symbols on all four sides is a gem of light brown hem-thin odoshi, carefully finished by traditional craftsman Suzuki Toshimitsu.The hem-thickness-thickness style is a beautiful style of odoshi that conveys the ancient sense of beauty to the present, in which the colour becomes darker as it gets closer to the hem.
